Selling a bike that I have not been registered.?

This is the story, I bought a bike last October in the belief that in the spring part. Then I lost my job, so now I have to sell. I have the old registration and the act of sale, but the cycle is out of state. So the question is What should I do to sell the bike? I live in CT and NY is cycling. Thanks for any help.
