Motorcycle Fuel Pump Problems

Then a motorcycle fuel pump to be repaired / refurbished? ?

I work 97 Gixxer 750 and I have a problem with the fuel pump. Its been sitting for over two years and the usual fire, most likely because the pump is not working. When the ACC is on, or even hear the rumble "Sound of the pump should do. With a multimeter I checked the connections of the son of the lead – to send a signal. So I took the tank drain valve and Fuelpump. The pump is gunked with brown oily soot / dirt. Believe that its closed / blocked with dirt. So I want to know what I can disassemble and repair it, or I have that fork in the 300-500 dollars for a new pump just to see if that's the problem? Does anybody have experience repairing a fuel pump in such a state?

you can spray with carb cleaner all you can until the dirt is free. Put the pump in the sun too hot can work while free sludge. Most of them are not made to participate, but many are universal and a hand can switch from another bike. I had to do it on my 86 FZX700 on the road once I had Autozone lucky one low-pressure pump to go home. But finally I bought the pump from the right end
